I am a new member of AMYS and have a 1966 Coupe, since 1971, which is undergoing a body off restoration.  No Build Sheet was found and we are wondering if there is any way to document a Mid Year.

Thank you,

I understand that there was no build sheet suupplied until 1967 when they were then located on the fuel tank. With out that and for earlier cars there is no way to identify what equipment the car was originally equipped with

Your best documentation is you know the car from 1971.

I have traced mine back to 1997, and am trying to go back further. Problem is that most states do not give up car owner's histories because of new laws in place.

Yes, no build sheets until  1967...

Ford did a better job on a lot of their cars by putting the motor ID on the VIN..
