American Mid Year Society "AMYS"

This is one of the rarest '66 Sting Rays you'll ever find.  It is a two owner, California Black Plate car with complete documented history back to the original purchase receipt. The paint and interior are original as is the drivetrain. 

What really makes this Corvette rare besides its originality and low mileage (90k fully documented) is the option package.  It came with both tops, power windows, radio and 327/300hp and very rare for convertibles back then . . . .  Air Conditioning! 

Now A/C by itself for a roadster puts it among a hand full of Sting Rays produced in 1966 but for whatever reason the buyer forgot to check off the box that added the optional 4 speed transmission so this car, by default has the standard featured and fully synchronized Saginaw 3 speed transmission. That's right, a 3 speed!  Only 564 Sting Rays in '66 were so equiped. 

So all combined, this is one very rare factory original 1966 Sting Ray - probably the only one like it.   This would make a great car to restore and take to Bloomington, a sure winner!
